This insurance is available for any size of business ranging from Self Employed contractors with one or two employees all the way up to Limited companies with a turnover up to £25 million and beyond.

The Cover available is dependent on the size of the company and the type of contracts tendered.

Section 1 - Employers' Public and Products Liability

Employers' Liability Insurance is compulsory under the Employers' Liability (Compulsory Insurance) Act 1969. This insurance protects your business against Legal Liability for costs and damages that you may be legally required to pay as a result of injury or disease affecting an employee. The indemnity is restricted to claims by employees under a contract of service or apprenticeship with the employer.

Public Liability Insurance protects your business against Legal Liability for accidental bodily injury to, or accidental damage to the property of members of the public caused in the course of the business.

Products Liability is automatically included in this section. This insurance protects your business in respect of claims against your business arising from products manufactured and supplied in the course of the business.

Section 2 - Building and Office Insurance

Provides cover for your computers, plant and stock while at the premises. Accidental damage cover can be arranged along with an extension to cover items away from the premises such as laptops or tools. Business Interruption and loss of profit is also available.

Section 3 - Contractors All Risks

This insurance provides cover for your own plant and hired in equipment that you use on site such as generators, pneumatic machinery, cranes, site huts etc. A limit on tools used per person can also be included, as well as continuing hire charges. Cover for loss, destruction or damage to the contract works is also available.

Latent Defects Insurance

This insurance is an extended structural defect insurance. Also known as Inherent Defects Insurance, the cover operates independently of contractor solvency and is fully transferable. Guarantee periods are available for up to 12 years.
