This insurance is available for any professional business that gives advice or provides a professional service.

The Cover available and the premium is dependent on the size of the company and the type of business activities undertaken. Insurance policies are placed on a 12 month "claims made" basis, and will be fully compliant with the requirements of any professional body or trade association requirements.

Professional Indemnity limits from £100,000 to £10,000,000

Professional Indemnity Insurance protects your business against claims arising from negligent act error or omissions or breach of professional duty and made against you during the policy period.

Extensions to cover

Breach of Confidentiality

Provides cover for sums which you are legally liable to pay in relation to allegations of breach of confidentiality.

Data Protection Act

Provides cover for sums which you are legally liable to pay in relation to compensation for damage or distress arising from a breach of your obligations under the Data Protection Act.

Dishonesty

Provides cover for sums which you are legally liable to pay as a consequence of losses arising from dishonest acts of personnel involved within your business.

Loss of Documents

Provides cover for sums which you are legally liable to pay as a consequence of loss or damage to documents entrusted to or held by your business.

Infringement of copyrights or patents

Provides cover for sums which you are legally liable to pay in respect of alleged infringements of any copyright or patents or other intellectual property rights.

Libel & Slander

Provides cover for sums which you are legally liable to pay in respect of damages as a consequence of losses arising from any libel or slander uttered by you during the course of your business activities.
